What is the difference between Parked domains and Addon Domains?

A parked domain is a domain which sits on top of your cPanel account's main domain. It will never point anywhere else, or go anywhere else, but your main domain
An addon domain is a domain which can be parked on top of your cPanel account's main domain, or be moved to another directory, pointing to a completely different website, if needed
